Does anyone know if Binghamton University considers SAT subject tests as part of its admissions decision? I believe they say that no SAT Subject tests are required, but it is unclear if taking those tests provides an advantage in admissions..

“I believe they say that no SAT Subject tests are required” You should confirm this yourself on their website. You need to go to primary sources rather than asking such vital info on an advice board.

They are not. Thus they feel completely confident they can evaluate every applicant without needing SAT2s. If there are other schools you’re applying that require them and you have a free slot, go ahead and send them to Binghamton. It can’t hurt. But don’t expect any boost.

Thanks

They do not use subject tests. We were told not to waste our time and money sending them.

Thanks for the info

I know others already gave you the answer but I’m gonna also chime in and say no too I went to the information session today and tour at BU and they said no SAT subject tests required. Also they take whichever is a higher score, ACT or SAT :D
