SAT II Subject Tests at SUNY

In looking through the various SUNY web sites it appears at first glance that SUNY Stony Brook is the only college or university in the NY system that requires the submission of SAT II scores. Is this accurate or am I missing something? I realize that each SUNY establishes its own admissions requirements, but I am a little surprised that Geneseo and Binghamton do not at least recommend submission of subject test scores.

I know Binghamton does not and neither do most of the rest. Does SB require it for all applicants or just for certain majors?

Muffy -- I should not have said "required." SAT II tests are recommended for all applicants.

From the Stony Brook website: "SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics (Level 1 or Level 2) and one other subject of the student's choice are recommended."

Perhaps Chris from the SB admissions office could clarify how the subject tests are views by admissions officers if he gets a chance to respond.

Yeah I was going to say they are recommended haha. I was accepted and did not take an SAT II

Hey, I'm here. HV51 is right; they're only recommended here. Can't say about the other campuses.
