Binghamton University vs. UMass Amherst

Hello Friends,
I am torn between Bing U and UMass Amherst. Please feel free to give me any suggestions! Here are brief pros/cons of each. I am not much a party-goer so please disregard that aspect. I'm also planning on pursuing Med School afterwards.
Bing U
-I am a NY resident so will be about $8k cheaper than UMass
-Bing is ranked slightly higher in academics
-I will know a lot of people (not necessarily a good thing)
-more diversity
-weather is terrible :(
-slightly farther from where I live than UMass

UMass Amherst
-prettier campus
-livelier town
-can take classes at any of the 5 Amherst colleges for the price of UMass
-have to pay out of state tuition :/
-will know no one there
-less diversity

While a great deal of partying occurs at almost every college in the U.S., UMass Amherst is a HUGE party schooll.
I’m currently a senior here and although I’ve befriended a handful of people like myself who rarely party, they are very few in number at the school as a whole. Since you’re not fond of partying, I would recommend attending the school with less of a party scene which I believe is Bing. Also, as a New Yorker myself, I found it much more difficult to make friends my freshman year as a lot of students here stick with their hometown friends initially. Academically speaking, Bing and UMass Amherst are basically the same.
