Anyone know if the class is easier in the spring because there are less bioengineering kids in it?

I haven’t taken 121 yet. However, I asked a few upperclassmen that question and they all said its definately easier in the spring.

That’s good to hear. I was thinking of taking it since Bio 101 isn’t offered in the spring and I’m more interested in molecular/cellular biology. However, I’m worried because I was reading reviews about the class and there is apparently a TON of information and the teachers can’t go in-depth very much, and apparently the grading is harsh, arbitrary and unfair and the curve is ridiculous as well. I don’t know if I want to put up with a class like this that will hurt me even if I put a lot of effort into it…

yeah, I’m not sure what to do either. I’m in between 102 and 121. I have to take a bio class because I have to get started on the bio sequence. I’m in chem and phys this semester.

i didn’t think the 121 grading was harsh (at least not arbitrary), but i think it could be rough for a first experience to penn bio

was a sophomore bioengineer when i took it though
