Just like the title says. I am taking Phys 7A for sure, but I also want to fill in some other classes and Bio 1B is seems to be the only other thing that fits and fulfills reqs. I'm afraid that this might be too much since its about about equivalent to 16 regular semester units and all science

Yeah, Bio 1B is easy. Plus classes tend to be easier during the summer (but don't slack).

I don't know..I've heard some bad things about Bio 1A. Bio 1B, will tend to be harder than 1A.

...
1b < 1a

(10 chars)

Bio 1B has easier material but much harsher curve than Bio 1A.

it seems like this has become a discussion about wheter bio 1a is harder or bio 1b. can someone comment on taking bio 1b and phys 7a during the summer session?

You haven't given any information about yourself so no one can give you reasonable advice. If you already took AP Physics and aced it, that is very different from a situation where this is your first rigorous physics class. For some people Physics 7A is trivial, while for most people it's a pretty difficult class. Most people would be crazy to take it together with Bio 1B.

That's a lot of time spent in school. 12 hours lecture, 6 hours discussion, and 10 hours of lab a week. Can you handle that? Also like kenf said, your past background in physics will determine whether you find the course difficult or not.

i took a calculus based physics course at a CC this past fall, however it seems to only cover about half of berkeley's 7a course. i did take ap phys c mech, but my teacher was horrible and i shouldnt even be considered as past physics experience. and i do understand that my you cant guage the difficulty since you don't know me or my past experience well, but can you tell me if you would try to take such a courseload?

No, I would never try to take such a courseload. I would take only 7A and try to maximize my grade (and perhaps even what I learned) in that class, rather than jeopardizing my GPA and guaranteeing I learn nothing by over-stretching myself.
