Bio E = harsh curve?

i think this has one of the harshes curves according to past collegeboard stats. Does this mean this test is easier therefore more people do well?

It actually has a better curve compared to the Biology M.

The E questions are usually harder - especially since courses tend to be molecular based, so those who take E are more likely to be less prepared.

Why would you think it has a harsh curve? Isn't it the same as M?

really? cause my friend showed me this chart comparison of all the percentiles of previous (pre 2005) sat IIs. theres like 2 possible 800's at the top for Bio E and like 3-4 for Bio M.

Bio has a pretty generous curve. I took E and made a 760. That's 97th percentile, so draw your conclusions.

fabrizio: how many right/wrong/omits?

They don't give that info for SAT IIs.

You can only get 1-2 wrong for both E and M.

The reason why the E percentiles (I've seen the same chart your friend showed you) are much higher is because people tend to do better on M.

^^Really? I know I got more than 2 wrong on the October SAT Bio. Something more like 7-8. I still ended up with a 790.
