Bio major specialization in genetics?

So I’m currently college searching but I’m coming across some problems of what I want my major to be and colleges that offer that. I definitely would love to have a career in genetic counselling since I have a genetic disorder myself so it’s always interested me. I have no idea what to major in tho… at first I thought major in genetics but there were only a handful of colleges that offer that. So then I was thinking maybe a college that has a bio major with a genetics specialization? I need advice tho cause I know a bio major is a really broad area of study. If you have any other suggestions about what I could possibly major in or good colleges I’d love to hear. Thanks!!

You could also major in psychology or a health science related major.

@boucqie MIT has it all if that is something you’d want to consider.

With genetic counselling, most have a graduate degree that is more specialized and an undergrad that is more general.

Genetics concentration schools - Duke, Cornell, Rutgers (Major), UConn etc… Many schools (at the undergrad level) have the programs wrap with molecular biology or developmental biology. It is a pretty specialized area and will mostly prep you for research type of environment. If you want to do GC, that’s mostly grad school level. JMHO
