Hi, I am currently a junior at a pretty competitive Texas public high school, and wanted to know my chances for getting into the College of Natural Sciences at UT Austin as a Biochem major. (Schools such as UC Berkeley, NYU, Emory and maybe WashU as well? I know it’s a long shot)
Class Rank: 80/670
SAT: 2110 (720 Math, 730 Writing 660 Reading)
15 AP classes by senior year with mostly 4’s and 5’s
Activities and Clubs: Shift leader at local hospital junior volunteer program, director of community service for youth group at church, a few awards at local and regional science fairs, and part of my school’s varsity orchestra for 3 years. There are a few more awards and clubs I am in, but those are just the main ones I listed.
Also, I know that since I’m in the Top 12% of my graduating class, I don’t qualify for auto admission. How are my chances of getting into CNS for Biochem affected?
I’m also an Asian male, so that makes it even rougher I would assume
