Is there a difference in majoring in Biochem or double majoring in Bio and Chem? A college I really love doesn’t offer a biochemistry undergrad major…
Look at the requirements for each major… Instead of taking multiple Biochem and cell biology classes, you’ll probably have to take ecology, genetics, analytical and physical Chem etc. If you want the major for grad school it’s probably not going to make a huge difference but you will probably take different classes in undergrad.
You can always major in Bio or Chem and take extra classes and maybe even minor in the other science.
Do they have a “molecular biology” undergraduate major, which should be quite similar to biochemistry (possibly a little less chemical)?
