Biochemistry and BIomolecular Engineering double major. Why not?

So, I'm a biochem major(soph) and i am thinking about doubling as a BioE major as well. I have a couple of class i still need in order to meet admission requirements for bioE, however I was wondering. Would the pros outweigh the cons? Would this substantially increase my job marketablity or be redundant? I have looked at degree plans for both and there is some course crossover, so it isn't that bad. I'm just looking for general opinions or someone with first hand experience. Thanks in advance!

Why not chemE plus biochem? Or just chemE alone. I would do that instead.

why are you trying to double major? is it too look good for job app / grad admissions? or is it because you are just interested in the subject and want to be more knowledgeable in the field beyond biochem?

I really think you should major in Chemical Engineering. (or Biochemical Engineering)
