Bioengineering vs. Biotech?

Which of the majors between bioengineering and bioengineering: biotech has the most potential for job opportunities and internships? Can people in both majors apply for the same internships or does one have an advantage over another?

Um…I’m not sure if the job opportunities are different, but the majors definitely are. Choose the one that interests you the most. I personally find Biotech more interesting, but it’s your call.

However, if all you care about are job opportunities, you might want to switch to CS. If you check out decaf (engineering career fair in February), ~70-80% of the companies offering summer jobs are looking for computer science students. I think I saw about 2 or 3 that were bio related, and they were looking more for graduate students than undergrad. I always hear that a lot of bio/bioengineering majors are shocked at the lack of jobs available and eventually switch to CS, and while I’m not sure if that’s true, I can definitely believe it.
