<p>I'm planning on double majoring in Computer Science and Biology to prepare for a career in Bioinformatics. Does anyone know the job stability rate and salary in the Bioinformatics field? Also, does anyone have a complied list of Bioinformatics companies, in case I might be able to intern at one?</p>

<p>I have a friend that just started at Novartis and I think that the work that he’s doing could be considered bioinformatics. It sounds like a really interesting area. I also think that computational biology will be an important field and I know a guy in that space though I don’t know where he’s working right now. Both of these guys have Phds.</p>
<p>I would think that you could look at any large pharma companies.</p>
