I'm interested in BioEng. The question I want to ask you is, are the courses going to be very restricted to sciences courses (such as physics, chemistry). I'm asking because I want to take other courses like psychology, but I'm more interested in Bio Engineering than pure biology (which would be CAS).

Would I be able to enjoy some freedom in taking non-engineering courses at COE if I'm applying for Biological Engineering?

There are a minimum of 6(?) liberal arts classes that engineers must take to graduate. There is no limit, it’s just that you do get at least those 6.

it depends on how many credits you would come in with, and by credits, im talking about the ones earned from ap/ib/summer school. e.g, i came in with roughly 35-40 credit hours and at the rate i’m going, i’d only need to take an average of 12 credits/semester to graduate on time. however, im not going to take only 12/semester, but probably add a class or 2 im really interested in per semester. coincedentally, i too, was interested in arts such as psychology even though im bioengineering.

and locklockboy’s right, there are liberal studies classes and you can certainly take psych to fulfill one of your requirements.
