Biology AP

Hey guys i'm taking Biology AP next year and i would like to know what the best book to use for the class is?

There is one green book that i know is really good but, i don't know the title.

Can you give me some advice????????????

I'd say cliffs followed closely by PR.

Some of my classmates prefered 5 steps to a 5, though.

no i need to know what text book to use????????

Ohhh...my bad.

Most classes use the Campbell book.

We used Life by Purves, Sadava

Related question...

How - or where - can I get the past AP tests online?
I could find many Chem tests, but no biology test..

Anyone know..?

The Free-response are easy to find online, but M.C. is not out there. The only one online, to my knowledge, is 2002.

Enjoy and Good luck!

We also used Raven and Johnson, and i dont think you can find the mc problems anywhere other than 2 released mc problems from your teacher

The "green" book you are referring to is most likely the sixth edition of Campbell's.

get the 7th edition of campbell's. you can get it new for around $100 from online dealers through amazon. just make sure they have good ratings.

The green book is the 7th edition by Campbell, Reece. it's also amazing. At the end of every chapter are questions that are as hard if not harder than the AP questions (i've taken the test before and yeah those questions were scarey compared to the AP test). I know you need the textbook and not testprep, but 5 steps to a 5 is modeled after the Campbell Reece book (almost all the pics are from Campbell) so the crossover is helpful and the explanations are really down-to-earth. It hit on everything that was important for the test. Between those two, i had everything i needed to do really well on the test.

oh my bad there are 7 editions, but the 'green book' is the 6th. that's also good, but the 7th is the newest and is pretty damn good i heard.

The 7th one is the red one :) Go to www.campbellbiology.com to see all additions. I used the Barrons how to prepare for the AP Bio exam and cliffs.....cliffs is PRETTY DARN good! good luck...the exam isn't that bad. just don't stress nor procrastinate..and youre doing really well on the latter.

cliffs is pretty well modeled after campbell's too. i liked cliffs a lot - not too little information but not so much that you get bogged down in 'review'
