Biology SAT 2?

I'm planning to take the chem sat 2 and the biology sat 2 in June/late may, respectively. I took biology last year and taking Chemistry this year. However, when I signed up for prep, they told me that it's wiser to take the biology sat 2 during the summer because i might not handle it. But I want to take the Biology SAT 2 during the school year because during the summer, I'm planning to work, study for physics and the SAT. I also have the AP world test in may; trig, chem, and global regents in June. Would it really be too much to study for both the chem sat 2 and the biology sat 2? What do you guys think? Thanks!

I think your study schedule should be based on when you take the test. You should finalize that first.
First of all, let’s get dates straight. No tests are administered in the summer. Subject tests are only offered on the first Saturday of October, November, December, May, and June. the only time they are administered at the last saturday of the month is in January. Check College Board’s site to find out exact dates for the rest of the school year.
Even if you take Bio and Chem on the same day, it probably won’t be too hard to study. They are interrelated subjects, plus you are taking/took them in school. A little extra studying from Barrons prep books is suggested. By studying for the SAT II chem for the June test date, you will also prepare for the regents.
Good luck! I used Barrons fro bio and im using barrons for chem! :D

Thanks! I didn’t know that before, haha. If you don’t mind, would you tell me what did you get on the biology sat 2 and the chem sat 2? Were they difficult?

I had AP Bio to back me up, so I did fairly well on the SAT II Bio (780). the difference between the Ap and the SATII is that:
AP= analysis
SATII= CONTENT SPECIFIC.
However, I’m not taking AP Chem, so idk how ill do on SAT II Chem in June!
Glad to be of help!

For bio might i suggesr PR first for general understanding then barrons to reinforce and skim over the stuff that isnt important and then Kaplan. Kind of overkill but hey whatever works

This list may help. Look in the library too! Old versions are perfectly fine, and are actually quite useful for extra practice tests.

risubu-Good luck on your SAT 2 Chem!
Brolex-Thanks! I’ll check them out!

I’m most likely going to take the biology SAT 2 in may :)
