<p>A friend of mine will be a senior and says he's interested in Canadian universities, and I receommended University of Toronto and McGill. But as for University of Toronto, is the Biology program good?

<p>U of T's biology program is excellent. It's premed (biology and other life sciences) program was #1 in Canada for over a decade. It recently slipped because they stopped supplying information to the magazine that makes these rankings for Canadian University (Macleans) so it is more than likely still #1 (In international rankings it is still by far the best uni in Canada). If you ask most people in Canada which University is the most recognized for its science programs it would definitly be UofT. There is a reason it publishes the most research out of any university in North America other than Harvard. The only thing is that life sciences is notorious for being very difficult at U of T, because professors tend to bell-curve to weed out students to make sure only the best go on. So if your friend is up for the challenge then they should definitly attend UofT.</p>
