Biomedical Engineering -- Cornell M.Eng vs. Univ of Minnesota MS

Does anyone know which school has a stronger program? They're both unfunded. I hope to work in industry, which is why I was interested in Minnesota in the first place. Minneapolis seems to have a lot of medical device companies.

However, I can't help but think the Cornell name would look better in the future. Any thoughts on the strengths/weaknesses of each program?

Thanks!

Please help?

Are you from the New York area? Have you been able to get internships during your undergrad in the biomedical industry?

My internships have been mostly research-focused rather than industry-focused. Why do you ask?

I didn’t know if you already had a connection to biomedical industry in the New York area. I’m not familiar with either area, so that’s why I asked the question. If you already had your foot in the door in New York, if that’s where you’re from, it would make sense to stay there to capitalize on those connections. However, like you said, Cornell is such a recognizable name, you could probably find work anywhere in the country with a degree from there. Congratulations on your acceptances!
