Biomedical Engineering Major Anxiety

Trying to transfer from a CC to either UC Davis, Irvine or Cal Poly SLO (In that order of preference) with a Biomedical Engineering Major.

However, my GPA isn't so hot and I will NOT be completing a TAG (My GPA will be 3.29 at the end of the summer).

Overall GPA: 3.38
GPA of major classes (From assist.org): 3.46

Huge upward trend, 3.65 GPA from last 5 semesters.

All of IGETC and classes needed for transfer for biomedical engineering will be completed.

I'm really worried that I won't get into those schools. Should I debate about changing majors and if so, where should I apply? I don't know where to start and need some help.

I wish I had an answer for you, I am in the same boat as a chem eng major with a lower GPA. I will have all pre-reqs for the major done. I decided the best thing to do was also apply to some less selective universities as well. I can overcome going to a less prestigious/desireable school to get my degree. I decided that after taking about 6 years to decide what I really wanted to do with my life, I’m not giving it up due to challenging admissions. I don’t care if I have to attend South Harmen Institute of Technology, I’m getting my chem e degree! If I get in where I want, great. If not I’ll have a fall back ready. Onward and upward.
