Biomedical engineering v. Mechanical

Hello all

I am deciding what major I would want to do in college and I am deciding between biomedical and mechanical engineering. However, I do have a few questions:
1. Is it possible to do get a bachelors in biomedical engineering in the US and then do med school in Europe?
2. How good are the chances of getting into med school with a biomedical engineering degree?

Thanks for your help!

Yes. Be warned that returning to the US for residency or practice is very difficult.

Choice of undergraduate major does not affect your chances of admission to medical school. (All other factors aside, engineering majors are not more likely to be admitted than English majors.)
