Biomedical Engineering vs. Chemical Engineering

I'm very interested in Biomedical engineering but am not sure if it is a field that has good future prospects. Since the field is relatively new, do you think it would be easy to find a job in the future? Do you think chemical engineering has better job prospects? They have a much higher starting salary as well so I've been very confused about the 2. Would appreciate any opinions on this!

S1 was accepted into a biomed program but choose systems instead because job offers are very limited and localized for biomed. Most graduate ended in graduate school or med schools.
S1 wanted to start working after undergraduate. If you plan to go to graduate school, probably does not matter. Otherwise go Chem.

Thanks for the reply. I was considering going into Med school but I’m not a US citizen so I won’t be eligible…that’s too bad, I was looking forward to Med school here. I guess I could do Chemical engineering undergrad and MS in Biomed? Is that a good option?
