Bioengineering vs Chemical Engineering

I am currently looking into majors and would like your opinions on Bioengineering ( particularly in the biomedical branch) vs Chemical Engineering and how the job market looks for each right now. Any insight greatly appreciated

Major in chemical or mechanical engineering for undergrad. Picking a specialized (bioengineering) undergraduate degree will only limit your options.

it’s not really specialized, but you can always major in bioengineering in undergrad, and them pursue some MBA, or specialized bio field in grad school to enhance your resume

I heard the chemical engineer job outlook was bad, and I know there is ZERO job openings in my state.

I know nothing of bioengineering.

^^^
Seems like every engineering job has high unemployment rates lately.

yea but it’s pretty little compared the unemployment rates of other fields

The job market is definitely better for chemical engineers (it’s tough to get a technical job with just a B.S. in bioengineering). What kind of job do you want though?
