Anyone know anything about biomedical engineering at Yale?
How is the program?

I second that question - how does BME at Yale compare to programs at JHU, Duke, MIT and so on?

I applied for biomedical engineering. Yale just spent like half a billion dollars to update and build new engineering facilities. It's going to be awesome.

......too bad I wont get to study engineering there. :(

But yeah, for undergrad engineering - it's fine and only getting better. Plus, with its relatively small department size, you'll be close with your engineering profs and have lots of opportunities to research (or so I've read and been told)

Yeah, Yale is building a new building for Biomedical Engineering (it's currently under construction, and should be ready by Fall next year). The facilities are really modern, and science students (especially students who are into something Bio-related) have a ton of opportunities to do research.

There's this program called "Perspectives on Science", limited to 60 freshman interested in science - basically what this program entails is free money ($3600 this summer) to do research during the summer for 10 weeks under a professor. It's pretty easy to get a place if you are interested in science and doing research.

i wish they would earmark a few million for financial aid and cut down on all the building!

upandover, I'm really interested in working in a Yale lab this summer, and I'll be an incoming freshman. Can you give me more info on the "Perspectives on Science" program? I'm going to check the Yale site too...
