Does a C in AP chemistry look bad when apply for the field of Biomedical Engineering.

Yes. Don’t send it if possible.

it looks bad. but im not sure what ca2012 means by not sending it… its on your transcript so it will send. be sure to explain why you got that grade though.

where would i get the chance to explain it?

Um i think dont quote me on this, but somewhere in the common app there is a location where you can write about your grades and stuff or maybe bring it up in your essay.

Did you get the C due to some sort of family issues or anything like that? or did you just get the C because you didnt try. if it is the former you should hit base on that in your essay to explain it, if it is the latter dotn try to explain it and just accept it.

yeah I didnt get focused and it was my fault that i received the C’s. Does it help if those are the only ones on my high school transcript? Also, if you can answer this: Do colleges see my first grades for the first quarter or senior year?

They do see your first semester grades of senior year (you have to update your application with them).

What college are you applying to? You can apply as a different major and switch into bioengineering.

Make sure you’ve thought this through; bioengineering is arguably the hardest major there is and if your grade in chemistry is an indication of your interest in the subject you might want to reconsider a different major.

I have recently gotten better at chemistry and my strongest subject is biology. So i would like to do something biology related. Bioengineering seemed to be a good career path for me, but I wasnt sure if i needed to be very strong in chemistry. As of now I am thinking about applying to Boston University, University if Illinois at urbana, and University of Illinois at Chicago.
Also my senior year grades are by far the best grades I have had in my high school career

well bio and math
