biophysics major?

can anyone explain what this major really is? I am interested in going to med school after undergrad. will a biophsics major prepare me for med school? how hard is the major?

bumppppppppp

biophysics is using a combination of math, chemistry, physics and biology to understand molecules. Example: studying how genes are turned on and off, how proteins fold, how cells move, how the nerve system works. It's all about 3-d structures and determing functions. hope that helps

how hard will it be to recieve a high GPA because i want to go to med school

it's like biochem in that aspect, it's harder than the other biology majors. So you're going to have to work harder. It incorporates so many different disciplines, it's a VERY interdisciplinary field.
