Bit of a weird question but answer anyways...

Ok, so my question is that there's a lot of different places where you can use school computers and such.

Now, what I want to know is if there are workers or people monitoring what sites you go on when you are in a computer lab. Are they real strict about you using the computers for work/school only? Or are they lenient and allow you to surf the web too? I ask this b/c I'm not sure if I'll have a labtop and I do surf the web and do fantasy sports and etc..

So my question is will they care if I'm surfing the web? Will they be strict about it?

It depends on where you are. If you're in a library where computers are labeled for Research/Work purposes only, then an anal library employee might get on your case if you're just surfing the web. But if you're in an actual computer lab, you can do whatever you want, within reason. You shouldn't have any worries. I have a friend who survived a while without his own computer.

yep. there is a large computer lab in the ugrad library and also one in the Union that you can use for whatever you want. (be prepared to pay for any printing, though!)

i know, i'm gonna be livin in FAR and they got a printer I saw out in the lobby/entrance area and it's 15 cents, i'm like crap, that's insane. It should be frikin 5 cents at most.

I think engineering majors get free printing in certain engineering buildings (Engineering Hall I know for sure) up to a certain limit.
