<p>As opposed to a traditional schedule - which, at my school is an eight period day with classes that are usually year-round, such as math, English, foreign language, and others that are semester-long, such as senior electives, fun electives, or less intensive AP courses, a block schedule usually has several courses - 3-5 that are longer in time, so they cover more in one period, and last half the year. So a block schedule has fewer classes with longer periods</p>
<p>so if my school is not year round it's traditional i would not be on a block schedule?</p>
