Blue Book Exact Scoring

I emailed/PMed the person who said they had better scaling scores for tests 4-8 in the bluebook but he has not responded yet, is there anyone who has them? If so, please PM me!
Thanks

i could use those, i can't really know how much i improved if i keep getting ranges like 670-770, lol

i dont know why people care so much when it's only practice; sometimes actualy testscores are lower than usual.

i want to know so i know if i'm actually improving or not....

^
if ur staying in one range, that's not really improving..., maybe just luck

Look at the raw scores...

you can look at the raw scores, but the level of difficulty of each test is different. That's why in some tests, 2 wrong on math is a 730 while on others its higher.

i agree, the difficulty of the tests are different in the BB

test 5 was hard, especially that passage about the professor getting fired from work in CR

and the H level math problems were required time and thought

but the writing was easier..

to me, test 4 was easiest, lol

i've only gotten to test 2 so far, and i improved a lot from test1 to test 2....did you think test 2 was easy?

tests 1 through 4 are really easy, and the whole 8 tests are much easier than the real thing. at least, that is what I thought to myself when I was walking out of the test center. i felt like i was betrayed. LOL

test 2 wasn't bad, but then again, the difficulty of all the tests in the BB aren't so far off from each other that you'll score different ranges after each test.

if you improved from test 1 to test 2, then expect more improvement from test 2 to test 3, or a similar score to what you got on test 2

with practice, you'll do fine (:

I've been getting like 5ish wrong on CR 5 wrong on writing and 0-1 wrong on math
can someone give me a better estimate than 2050-2380????

and can you also tell me ABOUT how much easier the BB tests are than the real thing?

like if that's my range, should I expect AT LEAST a 2100?
I'm pretty sure I can pull an 800 math/close to 800 writing and 700'ish reading... but i'm not very consistent..
what do you guys think?
I have tests 6,7,8 left, thinking I should take 2 more all the way through (I am ADD and have a lot of focus issues) and then save test 8 for the weekend before the test, what do you think?

thank you

BB = real tests tbh.

Five wrong in CR is usually 720-740.
Five wrong in writing is dependent on the essay; try 670-710.
Math is a range of 780-800.

So a tighter range would be 2170-2250.

thank you for the quick response.. I bet we are the only ctalkers who are awake :-P..

Yeah thanks for saying that "BB = real tests tbh." because I feel like I've read SO many times that the tests are easier than the real thing...
it's like, I feel like it's a mind game and I have a lot of focus issues which can really screw me over. Like my past 2 CR sections (on the last 2 tests) have been: 2 wrong 10 wrong 2 wrong (first one, def. focus issues on the 2nd section where my mom called me) and then 0,1,4 (the passage in the last section was just tough...)

and writing I feel like I have a chance to get perfect but I keep screwing up on the writing passage at the end. I usually get perfect up until that part (on the big section) and then I get a couple wrong on the last section..
my past couple writing sections were
2 wrong 3 wrong (first section, second section) and 1 wrong 4 wrong (first section, second section)... and all those wrong in the first section were on the passage at the end of the section...
I feel like now that I know I'm not good at those parts that I will continually get the material wrong, is there any way to master these parts that I'm failing at? or at least change the way my mind is thinking towards these parts...?

I can manage a 5 or 6 on essay depending on graders..
and math I seem to get 800 50% of the time, though I mess up a geometry problem here and there (not even usually the H ones) geometry is lame..

You sound like a prime candidate for the "will do much better on the real test where they are concentrating better" classification. You have a real shot at 2200+.

stop worrying monkeyaone!
you'll get your freaking score sooner or later, noone's going to be able to predict your score.

"I feel like now that I know I'm not good at those parts that I will continually get the material wrong, is there any way to master these parts that I'm failing at? or at least change the way my mind is thinking towards these parts...?"
well, i think it's a better tactic to work on one section at a time. your math is great, an 800 on test day really just depends on luck.
work on like only on the sentence improving, and slowly you'll get what it's looking for. it sounds stupid and common sense, but it works (for the writing).
for reading, you should try learning to skim (like just do the questions by only reading the last para or smth), it gives you a more stable score instead of (10 wrong, 2 wrong). it will start out kinda sucky, like u get a lot wrong, but when you get familiar with skimming, then it's really helpful. u should at least TRY out this other tactic.

thanks for your suggestions adamonkey2, I will try them. you are very reassuring.

I think the BB tests are accurate for the CR and math, but everytime I score the writing section I get in the 700 range (and I give myself only an 8 on the essay!) When I took the actual SAT I only got a 630. So I don't know what's going on with the writing section.....

Yeah that's what scares me :(

in terms of ranges, can't you just find the average of the highest and the lowest score in the range to predict your score?

for example, let's say you get a 600-700 in writing, can't you call that a 650?
