Blue Book Questions Thread

<p>I'm going over questions I missed, and I hope this will be helpful for others asking questions. On Practice Test #1 BB, pg. 400, #17, I got the right answer, but didn't understand the explanation.</p>

<p>It's a triangle with a rectangle shaded in. I don't understand why AB=BC indicates that BD bisects AC, AB, BD, DC = 10. </p>

<p>I didn't do similar triangles. I just subtracted whole area- white area = shaded, but I found it through "assuming some right angles" and thus, saw many 45,45,90 triangles.</p>

<h1>16 Section 7, Prac. #1…I understand how you can guess and check to get 5940, but how can you absolutely be sure? I guess it’s more of logic, just starting with w= 5, knowing w=6 gives too big a # for x?</h1>

<p>also, would it be a better idea to: go through all 20 to recheck, or just recheck 4-5 hard ones? (for math sections)</p>
