blue book tests difficulty?

are those tests easier//harder than the real sats? similar?

i went through 2 practice tests from the blue book n here are my results:

first:
M:750-800 got 1 wrong on a hard grid-in problem
CR:700-800
W: 78-80 (not counting the essay 49MC

2nd:
M: 750-800 another grid in problem
CR: 750-800
W: 78-80 (not counting the essay) 49 MC

im a bit worried here. im still not very good with those hard permutations& functions types ofprobles.i want to be overprepared, not underprepared. maybe i was just lucky?

I would think they're the same difficulty, because the blue book is made by CB who also makes the real SAT.

I took the SAT in May and did horribly. I got the blue book a couple of weeks ago and took three tests and got results similar to yours. These tests are supposed to be the most accurate, but yeah, a lot of people seem to think that the blue book tests are slightly easier. I also want to be overprepared but don't like other books' tests because they're usually inaccurate : /

Well, I think people feel the blue book is easier because you take it in a home, in a relaxed situation, and not early in the morning. While on the actual test, you take it in a tense situation with 20-40 other kids sitting in a same room with you and a proctor telling you what to do, and you take it @ 8 in the morning!

Very true.

Plus, i thought ETS makes the real SAT questions and collegeboard only distributes them.

Blue Book questions are exactly the same difficulty, there are very slight variations of 'hardness' methinks.
