I am currently a freshman at UCSB, studying with Dr. Asche.
I am in the BM Piano Program here but I am hoping to transfer out by next falll 2011.Due to personal issues...

I really want to be involved in the Music Business program at NYU or Music Industry at USC. I don't know what my chances are... because I have been studying piano for 14 years and I have no experience in the music industry area, but I have accompanied for musical rehearsals back home. I like to improvise on the piano when I have time. All genre of music interests me and I am willing to study more of music theory, film music, or any other things involved in music business programs.

Is this something risky? Changing my major? Or should I stay with my current major and hope to transfer from piano (classical)?

Just let me know any informations that would be helpful.
Thank you!
