Bmb?

Hey I’m an entering freshman and after orientation/registration I’ve had a bit of a major-crisis. As of now, I’m leaning towards the Biochem and Molecular Bio major. I know this is far in advance, but I’m thinking of going to grad school for biotech/marine biotech. Maybe, if the electives overlap, I’ll minor in marine bio. So my questions are: Is this a good major for that field of study? How is the BMB track at BU (read: will I deeply regret this)? Am I better off just taking Bio?

Thanks so much (:

Nobody at all? Or does anybody know somebody who is majoring in bio/marine bio/biochem/chem to offer any insight?

Don’t worry about it. Once you get to campus you’ll ask your advisor and she/he will make it clear for you. If she/he doesn’t, look for a new advisor (it is as simple of going into somebody’s office who seems nice and just asking her, then develop the relationship). ADVISORS KNOW ALL. Its not like a professor who will always be protecting their subject, they will tell you which class is better and which teacher is better. Enjoy your summer and you’ll see when you get to campus

Hah, okay, that’s a relief then. Thank you very much!
