How do I find out if I got into the JHU BME Program?

To quote Admissions_Daniel:
I applied to the biomedical engineering program, will I receive that decision via email as well?
Decisions about acceptance into the biomedical engineering (BME) major are departmental decisions and therefore we do not release such information through email or over the phone. All applicants who applied to the BME program will learn of their decision when they receive their acceptance packages.

What if I applied to BME and got waitlisted? Does that mean I have 0% chance of getting into BME?

Exact same question... It would definitely play a role in whether or not I stay on waitlist.

tag thread...

afruff23, I think that if you are waitlisted, you are out of running for BME. They accept applicants to JHU first without regards to BME, then they evaluate accepted applicants for BME. My guess is that BME waitlistees are among the accepted students.

I'm pretty sure that if you applied to BME (chose it as first choice major) and were Waitlisted, then you were waitlisted as a general student to the Engineering School at Johns Hopkins.

I think it's pretty safe to assume Waitlists for general engineering are not going to be offered a spot in the BioMed. Eng. program if they are selected. They are offered general engineering.

Ohh thanks misralz. I was wondering about that. I guess I must wait till the package comes then.
