Board-Is it mandatory?

I saw that you can purchase room & board, but I wouldn't need board and it's super expensive. My job @ Subway would be able to provide me with the income and a free meal per 4 hours I worked. I'd have no need for board. I'm radically picky and wouldn't like it more than likely.

Will I be forced to purchase a board plan? I know they have 6 options but unless I can get none or can pay-as-I-go then I don't want any.

I’m sure the Admissions Office could answer that question or refer you to someone who can. Give them a call.

I believe all students, except those under very special circumstances, are required to purchase at least the 10 meal plan. The point is not to rob you blind, the point is that you will socialize in the Grewcock, and become a vibrant part of the interaction of students on campus. Even if you live off campus, you will still be an integral part of the daily activities and social life.

As I recall, your ten-meal plan can be used in the cafe on the top floor (don’t hold me to it though), which may better fit your schedule.

Call the dean of men/women and see what you can work out.
