thank you, each post that some cc’ers are posting on this thread, make me feel bad, even that getting in isn’t a good thing. I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings or brag. And I’m sorry that being happy about an acceptance seems to be a bad thing.

If a person were to say, “I was accepted to exeter and st. paul’s” in two different tones, the sentence could be taken differently. Inflection means a lot, and without anyone knowing what I sound like, my inflection, it’s hard for people to understand what some of my posts are supposed to come across as.

That’s true, magusalex, and something really valuable that we’ve all realized from time to time–it’s much harder to get that inflection into a post.

I appreciate your apology and I get that you weren’t trying to brag. Let’s just move on, okay? We’re all happy for you–really. Exeter and SPS–who can beat that choice?

SevenDad started a great lessons learned thread last year. Maybe you could dig that out and add your reflections there. (Notice, though, when he chose to post that thread )

This is overkill. Wish adults would use some restraint themselves. How dare anyone post such a thread so soon! Please! Reading way too much into this, adults.
