As for the person who said that the boarding school admissions are very enigmatic, he/she is certainly correct. I don't know how many times this needs to be repeated, but you CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT tell a person what schools they are going to get into just by looking at their stats on paper. Unless you have a guaranteed-hook like being the child of a senator or whatever, then your chances can be quite random. I've seen outstanding, terrific students get rejected. I've seen "average" good students get accepted to the elite schools. The schools want diversity, and diversity could equal a soccer star from Cambodia or a normal straight-A student with mediocre ETs from Massachusetts.

Besides, your admission doesn't wholly depend on your stats. Your interview, essays, location, ethnicity - so vital as well!

As I've mentioned before, Mercersburg is a wonderful school. It is really not rated as highly as it deserves to be on this board. You would get an exceptional education there from what I can tell and the facilities are extraordinary.

ugh, idk ive come to the realization that alot of prep school admissions decisions dont make any sense to me at all...
but iono, yet alot of good decisions seem to find their way around. :D meh, screw competition and just work haha. ^_^ just wha ithink.
