Boarding School

Hello. I am a girl in the seventh grade, but I really, truly want to go to a boarding school. Preferably one majored in the arts (Such as Saint Paul’s School.) I became interesting in the idea of boarding school last year, when my parents slipped it in a conversation to my older sister, and then I became intrigued by the concept of actually going away to school. It seemed like it would be a mini college in a way.

To prepare myself for the test, I started studying at the beginning of the school year, and I’m not sure how I can study all of the vocabulary words that will be on the test. Do any of you have some ideas? I really could use some help.

Also, I am wondering on what I can do for myself to make me “stand out” I really want to be apart of a boarding school, but I’m not sure what I can do to appeal to them. I know I need to tell them how I can give back to the community of the school. But I just don’t know what else I should do. I am taking the SAT test this month to try and get into a gifted summer program, but I’m not sure what else I should do. I am going to run for E-Board, so if I am voted as one, I will put that on my application.

I really want to get into boarding school, and I am a new member, so if someone could fill me in that would just be great!

There are a couple of sites people have recommended for increasing vocab:
Flashcards: matching, hangman, crossword, word search, word scramble and flash cards

Good for you that you are studying now! Increasing your vocabulary is always a positive, not just to improve test scores.

Good luck!
