Hi everyone :)

I was just wondering out of curiosity, does any one know the approximate number of people wait listed each year for Boston Conservatory?

Just a random thought. Thanks!

Best guess 10 - 30.

They were burned one year when they sent out 100 acceptances and would up with a class of 70. Since that time, they scaled that back to about 75 acceptances and then go to the wait list to come up with a class about 50-55 if needed.

I thought they were burned when they accepted 70, and now they only accept about 50, not including the wait list? as opposed to accepting 70 not including the wait list?
i hope that made sense haha

and thank you! :)

Accepting and admitting are two completely different things. Many students are accepted at multiple schools which skews the formula. In 2007 70 kids accepted out of the 100 offers sent out so BOCO had to honor their admittance even though they only wanted a class size around 50 - 55. In subsequent years they reduced the amount of acceptance letters and go to a waitlist instead.
