Book Choice

I have to choose between these two books for a project. Which one should I pick?

Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison

or

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Crime and Punishment is the better book, but it's WAY harder than Invisible Man.

It's up to you...

ewww to invisible man.
hated it.

Invisible Man wasn't bad, but it's not that interesting, and I liked it more for it's rhythm in delivery than for its story.

invisible man is awesome!

Agree with Disneyguy.

Can you read a chapter or so of each one and then decide?

crime and punishment is a masterpiece... but then if u can't keep up with HUNDREDS of different characters with similar names... go with invisible man

Crime and Punishment, it pays off in the long run.

I just bought Invisible Man before I checked back on this post. -_-;

I'll exchange it then. Everyone seems to be rooting for Crime and Punishment.

Don't. I just finished reading Invisible Man, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like deep, long literature, probably Crime and Punishment. But Invisible Man is loaded with symbolism, themes, tones, and things to analyze (italicized sections, dreams, etc.). It's great for a book report.

Crime and Punishment for the win.
