I'm sorry if there a bunch of posts on this already, but I searched the forum and didn't come up with much.
Anyway, I was wondering what book(s) is/are the best to raise your math score? My CR and W are fine and I do really well in math classes, I just get average math scores on the SAT

I have the same problem as you, haha. I'm using Barron's book, and I think it's pretty good. It doesn't linger too long on basic math concepts, and if you're mathematically-inclined (which you should be if you do well in math classes), it's perfect for you.

Many on this site will say that Gruber's offers the most comprehensive math review for the SAT out there, but I've never used it, and I'm fine with Barron's.

I did about 20% of Barron's math review, and my score went up by 50-60 points.

SAT math only covers the most basic concepts, doesn't it? Since you already do well in class, probably you just need to get used to the way SAT presents the math. That's pretty much what I've been doing...and I guess it has been working...

^ I agree. Most often, the SAT tests the same concepts over and over again; I would not buy a book just for Math simply because doing the problems again and again in BB to get a grasp of the concepts presented should be sufficient. If you insist on getting a book though, get Gruber's.

Remember, the book is only as good as you use it to be.

Sorry I sound stupid but which Gruber’s book is better for math? The Complete SAT Guide or Complete SAT Math Workbook, or are they simply the same?

From what I can tell, the math content in the workbook and the Complete Guide are identical. Gruber’s isn’t great for CR or W, so I would just get the workbook.
