Books for classes prior to instruction

I want buy my books off amazon or a similar site before the fall quarter. Where can I find what book is needed for each class prior to class? Online or email professor? Help me out! Thanks.

Go to MyUCDavis (my.ucdavis.edu), click on the My Classes tab, then click on “classes I’m taking”, select “Fall Quarter 2012”, click on any of the classes, and on the popup that appears, click on the “UC Davis bookstore” link next to Course Material to be taken to the UC Davis bookstore page with a list of books either suggested (meaning it’s optional) or required for class. However, it’s best to wait until class starts to see whether you need the book or not (an exception are the science courses like Chem and Physics) because I had classes where the bookstore said the book was required, but the professors never assigned readings from them. The UCD bookstore also gives a price comparison, like so:
http://i47.■■■■■■■.com/uypeo.png

The UCD bookstore also offers price matching on new textbooks.

An alternate method of accessing the textbook list is in the SISWEB registration menu. Once you pick the term you can see all required textbooks for the quarter with the link at the bottom.

Also, if you were to go to welcometocollegefreshmen.com, they have a tab called textbooks. You should really consider buying textbooks on Amazon, eBay, or Half.com! Its a lot more price-friendly that the bookstore prices! Are you class of 2016 as well?
