Has anyone read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks or The Kite Runner (or both)?

I’ve read The Kite Runner

I’ve bought The Kite Runner but haven’t read it yet. I have read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author though and it was amazing so I’m excited to read it!

I’ve read the kite runner for school and enjoyment.

Read the Kite Runner it will absoulutely make you cry, plus it shows you a different culture without being boring like some of the books they make you read in school. I read it in 7th grade and cried sooo much, but I guess I’m a bit of a cry baby. A Thousand Splendid Suns is also great.

ok I will read it.

I’ve read The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns for leisure. Both were fantastic books - I couldn’t put either of them down when reading.

However, as a warning, The Kite Runner goes into detail about some pretty dark subjects, including a very detailed description of a young boy being raped as well as various instances of murder/death.

PREAMBLE U SPOILED THE BOOK OGMDFIHJDSFJIOFDESSADGJSDFK;L
lol

Ofmgj im sorry please forgivenesssssss

well I have to do a book project on it so I’m hoping I’m allowed to…

Yes to Henrietta Lacks.

Kite Runner is intense fiction, Henrietta Lacks is interesting nonfiction so they are very different. depends what you’re looking for, both are good.

I’m almost done with Henrietta Lacks; it’s not my most or least favorite book I’ll say.

I read both of them. Henrietta Lacks is for people who enjoy science and the other one is for people who like stuff like the Book Theif or something. They both were equally good books for me as I read them for pleasure.

I read “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” just a few months ago in my AP Language class. In my opinion, it is an excellent book.

I read the Kite Runner in 7th grade for a Social Studies project. The book was pretty good.

I loved the Kite Runner, watch the movie afterwards they do a pretty good job. My sister read Henrietta and since she loves science and science books she enjoyed it. I’m trying to read a Thousand Splendid Sons now, but I cant get into it. :(
