My daughter has received information from 3 different bookstores in regards to pre-ordering textbooks. Can anyone offer comparisons between the Spartan Bookstore, Collegeville Textbook Co. and Ned's bookstore? All 3 are offering promotions at this time. Are the prices at the 3 pretty close? How about purchasing used vs. new books? Any help would be appreciated.

I am also going to be a freshman this fall. From what I’ve heard, it sounds like all the on campus bookstores are around the same price (and pretty expensive). I was told that Chegg.com is a really good place to go to buy books at a more affordable price.

You just have to go online and compare. I highly recommend buying them online after shopping around. I generally get the books for about 1/4 of their used price if I shop around online. Just make sure there’s a return policy in case the prof says the book isn’t necessary or she drops the class.

I recommend going to spartanbookstore.com to find the required books and then go to [Compare textbook prices on new and used college textbooks](http://www.allbookstores.com/) and find cheap books. :)

I would recommend a website called campusbooks.com, it compares prices from many of the trusted online book vendors. You can search by title or ISBN and it will list the results from cheapest to most expensive. You can narrow results by condition, rental, vendor, etc. Most of the time I end up buying my books from half.com. Just a suggestion, hope it helps.

Thank you all for your replies. Will have her check out these websites.
