GPA: 3.6 unweighted
SAT: 1430(new SAT)
AP courses: Got a 4 for Psychology, and I’m taking Micro&Macro Econ, Lang, and CompSci this year.
Extracurricular: club president, volunteer work at a center I’ve been going to since I was in 7th grade
How competitive do you think I am for Boston College?
Also, I’m planning to take the SAT one more time and take the SAT subject test as well this fall. If I raise my SAT score to a 1500, and get over a 740 for Math 2 and Biology Subject Tests, how competitive will I then be for BC?
If your school places a limit on how many APs, the colleges take that into account. They want to see if you take the most rigorous schedule offered by your school.
@momma2018 actually it was b/c i wasn’t qualified enough or sth… they only take a limited amount of ap students, and apparently i didn’t have a good enough gpa to be one of those ap students…
It is hard to predict but make sure your essays are good - especially the supplement for BC. If you have strong ECs, that can help balance the GPA (which I think might be more of an issue than your SAT score. I don’t think BC requires subject tests so I would see how you score before sending them. Good luck!
