Astro95: the letter should state that. But if you don’t have to wait for financial aid and are worried about losing your spot, go ahead and pay the deposit.

I payed the deposit just in case. If anything, I can just get it refunded if it turns out that I didn’t get in after all.

Anyone see no portal change but got an acceptance letter? I’m from illibois and still patiently waiting for some notification…BC if my first choice.

@blandior: I’m in the same boat as you, I don’t have any portal changes either. Good luck, I hope everything works out!

congrats to the new eagles! As a parent with a D that just graduated on Monday, and who was not pulled from the WL until July, I can assure you that the wait was worth the time and emotional upheaval.

BC truly is a special place for those that can embrace and thrive with a Jesuit education.

@dpaz94 you too! Hopefully the wait is almost over…

@bluebayou that gives me hope! I think I’m going to wait until it officially closes or before the school starts. BC is absolutely amazing

Although it is not very relevant now the BC yield was 28% this year. The WL decisions do go out in waves and the whole process should be over by the end of May or Early June. Congrats to those coming off the WL and keep the faith to the rest.

How can we possibly know the yield if people are still getting off the waitlist? Also if true what increase in yield rate did BC need to offset the 26% decrease in applications in order to make the acceptance rate the same?

Huh?

Where do you get that backup “official” statement? Clearly, folks came of the WL last year. (a simple search of cc will confirm)

And what is your source for that statement?

Small envelope from BC waiting at home…so, I guess that is it! :(

I got my official acceptance letter today! They asked me to let them know whether I will be enrolling or not by Wednesday the 29th so maybe the 3rd wave of acceptances will come soon after that. To everyone who hasn’t heard yet - good luck and don’t give up yet!

BCwannabee, did your portal change before you got the letter?

Here too (small envelope that is). We haven’t opened it but I’m guessing it’s a “no”. My son couldn’t figure out how to get himself off the waitlist so it’s not disappointing at all. He’s attending a LACS in Maine that was his first choice.

I hope everyone who wants to go to BC does! Good luck, everyone.

I’m sorry to hear that GroundsBound did your portal not change?

Did your son’s portal not change either BTMell?

Letter said the class was full. Applied to CSOM. Portal did not change…exactly the same it has been so application was submitted in December!

CSOM must have been almost full up from the beginning then… A lot of us who got into BC were CAS. I only wish you the best GroundsBound!

Hi - no, his didn’t change. The letter said that the freshman class for September is filled so they are unable to offer admission.

what college did your son apply to?

A&S. (I think that’s what it’s called)

blandior: yes, my portal changed on Tuesday the 21st. I was accepted into A&S
