Still no updates on my portal…

I’m wondering if they only sent out cas acceptances yet o.0… but anyway gl to all

All5: thanks for your well wishes…on the one hand, I am still positive…feel like this is a first wave but on the other hand, feel that this waitlist wait truly sucks! We just want to know! Another thing is that doesn’t anybody else feel like this whole process has not had a pattern: some have seen changes in agora, and have been accepted; others have not and still have accepted and have received letters…what do people make of this? Is this unpattern a pattern ie a way to make it difficult to know if you have been accepted? So far my D has seen neither. :-(

hoping for the best, especially since I live in CA…i’d just appreciate some sort of communication from BC so that I can set my heart straight on where I am planning to spend the next four years of my life :l

It seems like only college of arts and science letters have gone out so far… Hang in there. I am sure there are more to come!

Sadapplicant, Petreavolubilis: Since my son must reply by May 20, I am sure this is the first round of waitlist. To make you two feel better, my son is a good student just like you or your daughter. We are BC legacy family so that is why he is in the first round of accept. Please don’t feel despair. I wish you all best of luck.

To those who have been accepted:
What did you all do after being waitlisted? Did you guys send e-mails to the admissions office? Updates transcripts/recs?

Sadapplicant: my D feels the same way. She is like she just wants to know…and like you start setting her mind up more on her deposited college choice.

Eaglegirl1: I believe one person has gotten in from CSOM.

Newtonkid: thanks for everything. I want to believe what you are saying. I want to believe what I also thought was going to happen. I have to think this is a first wave. First wave. First wave .

@petreavolubilis if one person has indeed gotten in for csom, then it makes me feel a lot better, since I applied to CAS. hope your daughter gets in! which school did she apply to?

Even if it is a first wave, the next batch probably won’t come out for another week or so, which is another week or frustration and unneeded stress :(

No news here, and since we live in nj, my D should have had a letter by now. There may be a second wave, but the wait is a bear! Congratulations to all who got in!

Just spoke to BC Admissions Office. She stated that they are still reviewing applicants and are sending out letters. They will send out a letter if you are not accepted off waitlist, but they haven’t sent any of these as of yet. I did ask her if they are sending these acceptance letters in waves, meaning the 2nd batch would go out after the 5 day window for deposit for those that have received acceptance off waitlist. She said no, they just are still processing waitlist decisions.

Not sure if this is 100% percent accurate, but I thought I would pass along their response. Good Luck to everyone…

Just wondering if anyone’s heard from the nursing school or has it just been CAS?

I carefully reviewed this thread and it appears that no one has heard from CSOM. All acceptances have been CAS. My S is on CSOM waitlist. To those waiting for word from CSOM, let’s continue to be hopeful…

I checked my daughter’s portal this morning and it had changed to where you can click to pay a deposit, withdraw your admission, or defer your admission.

I called the BC Admissions office to determine if that meant she was in or not. They said that you have to wait for a letter and they wouldn’t tell you anything over the phone. She has not received anything in the mail yet. We live in Pennsylvania and she has applied to the School of Education.

My daughter applied to the School of Education too but she doesn’t have a portal change. BC is definitely her first choice. The wait is awful. She had a separate email exchange with someone in admissions last week, who said that they would be letting waitlist applicants know in June. Trying to remain hopeful but starting to get discouraged.

I think the waitlist waiting is awful - I feel so for everyone here. It does sound like they’re taking more than a few, based on responses here.

I’m waitlisted at arts and sciences and still haven’t heard anything (good or bad). Happened to me last time too, didn’t hear back until a while after my friends. I’m thinking they maybe do it alphabetically? My last name starts with s.

My daughter was taken off the waitlist Monday. We found out by checking the Portal. She paid the deposit and now she has all the tabs possible and is able to sign up for orientation. Our last name starts with R. We have not received a letter yet. She is in CAS. I think this process is ongoing as my D counselor has several kids on the waitlist and she talks to admissions on a regular basis. She says they will continue to pull off waitlist until June. Hope this helps.

So no one really knows when csom is gonna start activating their waitlist? Assuming that they aren’t already full from rd. It probably woulda been best for my S to apply CAS

Just received packet.
