@collegemomjam Maybe it’s some kind of cruel hoax. I hope not.
@Eagle1095 That’s a bummer, but I kind of suspected that. Seems counterproductive to send an email like that a week before admissions decisions are communicated. Are you a current student at BC? They do this kind of thing routinely to all applicants?
@soulpup My son did not receive an email from a current BC student. He did receive a phone call from a student at one of his EA schools and two emails from students at his other EA school similar to what you describe. One of the students lives in our state and was available to answer questions related to the transition of relocating from our state to the school and how advice he could give. These appear to be the next wave of marketing/ recruiting going on with no relation to admissions decisions. Good luck and hang in there! You will know soon.
OK, thanks for clarifying. It just seems strange that no one else got contacted (at least on this thread which is not that active, so maybe there were lots of other calls). Like I said @soulpup, it definitely isn’t a bad sign…hopefully we will hear soon. I hope it’s early in the week but probably won’t be. Good luck!
Thanks @paveyourpath @collegemomjam. I appreciate the support. We’re all in this same waiting game. It’s excruciating. I’ll probably hear from BC & Notre Dame the same day. Good luck to you too!
Did anyone else apply to Morrissey? Is this easier to get into than the other schools?
I think Morrissey is easier to get in to than CSOM…not sure about the others. Maybe slightly easier than Nursing but I would not think it’s easier than Lynch. Lynch I think is the easiest, but I could be wrong. That’s how it was when I was there. CSOM is definitely the hardest.
ok so i know its super close to the date of our decisions being sent out but can someone chance me for admission? I know i will probably get deferred from EA but I want to know if I have a chance of getting in at all.
I am applying to the csom and im pretty sure i picked management as my major.

I am also a legacy if that will help my chances
legacy should help some and your scores are strong for csom. As for your grades, any idea on your rank or percentile Class standing may shed some more light.
@collegemomjam thank you this makes me feel a bit better! i am in around the top 20% of my class (there are like 500 students in my class). not sure if that’ll help or not…
I think BC really puts a lot of weight on rank, so I’m not sure. Legacy might put you over the edge because you have the score. Good luck!
Are there any guesses as to when decisions may come out next week? I know the emails are fairly new, but does anyone know when they came out on the portal last year?? Anxiously waiting!
I believe last year they came out on the 16th, although no one really knows when next week they will come out. I’m crazy nervous as well - I wish it would come sooner!!!
j
@boratbc234 decisions come out next week, nothing you can do about your app now, just wait to see what an actual admissions officer decides because we are not able to give you a real answer.
You have good stats but admissions can be so weird and seemingly random sometimes you know?
Best of luck! Now we just have to power through this last week
I’m applying to BC EA. Can someone chance me?

Think Tank: Treasurer
It’s like a club where you talk about current events.
I’m part of 4 more clubs including the Film Club, Investment Club, The Business Club, and Students Serving Soldiers
Essays: I know everyone says this but mine were very good, at least I hope.
Recs: Both teachers that wrote mine said that I should be applying to the honors college at BC even though I don’t plan to, so i thinks thats a good sign.
BC is pretty much my first choice, but it comes down how much financial aid i receive and if I can afford it. Good luck everyone.
Did anyone else submit a music portfolio?
@boratbc234 your stats are good so I think you’d have a pretty good chance! theres really nothing we can do now, just have to wait another week!
@boratbc234 which school are you applying to?
You don’t apply to the honors program at BC as a prospective freshman. I believe they let you know upon acceptance whether or not they want to offer you honors. Honestly, while I think you have a good chance of being admitted, I don’t think you will be offered honors. I think honors offers go to the students in the top quartile or even higher.
