It looks like my portal has changed. Has anyone else’s?
@sunset88 mine looks the same… What do you think looks different?
co11e9e 2018F has been added. It wasn’t there on Friday. Does anyone know what this can be?
@sunset88 Same here. I’m curious about what it means too!
@sunset88 that 2018F has always been on my portal. I don’t think it’s a change or something major
Thanks. It was new on mine, I was just hoping. I am sure it is just an internal review or something.
It’s been on my daughter’s too, from the beginning. She just checked and nothing has changed. Not sure if it will before they release letters, but not sure.
Does the portal have anything concerning financial aid online? Mine doesn’t show anything, but I’ve submitted all the necessary documents.
Also the bc_admissions twitter just posted saying e-mails will be out during the second half of the week.
BC Tweet: This is the week, #BC2021! Early Action decisions still being finalized. Expect your e-mail during second half of the week
I have a question:
I applied to CSOM. I am in the top 20% of my class-- school doesn’t rank but has gpa distribution. I only took two years of a language in high school. I have a 34 ACT (36 writing). I have taken the most demanding schedule my school offers. I also have business experience as I won a biz plan contest and am president of school’s investment club that manages portion of school’s endowment. I also am a 4 year debator and varsity tennis captain. Rec letters should be good. Can test scores, ecs and grades make up for lack of language and class rank?

@brendalin99 I can tell you our exam schedule has nothing to do with when they release decisions. Things are very much still being finalized and I can assure everyone that the portal will not change until decisions have been released via email. BC implemented the policy to email decisions to prevent the uncertainty and chaos that ensued in prior years when the portal changed over to allow students to make an enrollment deposit before everyone has received their decision in the mail leaving some students in the dark. Best of luck to everyone and they will likely be out before the end of the work week as the admissions office is closed on the weekend.
wait so the 2018F doesn’t mean anything?
I’m wondering the same thing like, you know how if you get a big letter or a small letter in the mail you know what it means? I’m curious to see how the email works… also, does anyone know if they release all of them at once or if they do them in batches?
@christine5229 I think everyone has that. Not sure why yours showed up later. But it means nothing as it relates to admission.
I’ve had the 2018F since I got my account, so I doubt it means anything. My guess is that decisions will come out on Thursday, which would mean three decisions for me that day!!

@collegeeagle11 which school are you applying to? And do you have any kind of hook?

Hoping for the best! I know CSOM is the toughest to get into, so I’m really nervous. BC is really up there on my list and I’ve been watching Youtube videos and stalking their FB page picturing myself at the school. Probably shouldn’t be doing that before finding out if I get in lol, but I want to get in so bad.
