I'm OOS for UVA and have been accepted to UVA and BC's Carroll School of Management Honors Program. I'm definitely looking to major in business and I'm deciding between these two schools. I visited UVA and loved it, I'm just afraid about the admission to McIntire. I feel like I have it in me to get the grades and such to get admitted, but I'm worried about the workload for the first two years, if I'm going to have a fun and relaxed first few years. The two programs match up pretty much the same rankings wise, McIntire at #2 on Businessweek and Carroll at #6 but as an overall program, not the honors. With BC I'm in the business program already and I liked the university when I visited. I'm afraid that if I go to UVA and either I don't get into McIntire or spend my first two years full of worry and stress about getting admitted. Any thoughts from you guys would be nice, comparing the programs, the life of a pre-comm student, anything you think would be helpful. Thanks!

I’m having almost the same exact problem (not the honors program at BC, though) and similar concerns. I know commiserating probably isn’t helping you in any way, but I wanted to post a reply in the hopes of bringing others to reply to this thread, too! Haha.

Hi reddit10 & mdemo7, it’s been a while since I was a student at UVa, so I can’t speak to the workload these days, but here’s what I suggest you do to get advice from current McIntire students. Check out this blog where a number of McIntire students are sharing their foreign education experience: [McIntire Abroad](http://pages.shanti.virginia.edu/mcintireabroad/)

You can either comment on one of their posts to get info from them or you can email them directly. Each post has an ID listed. For example, the first one is smh5mj, who is Stephanie Heimburg. Her email address is probably smh5mj@virginia.edu. You can email her or Anna Buynova (anb2es), Richard Dejarnette (rad2ya), Alexandra Becker (akb5st), or Jessica O’Connor (jmo5bp). I’m thinking that they should be open to talking to you both since they’re already putting themselves out there with their stories.

Good luck.

Thanks, Globalist! I will be emailing them soon :)
