Boston College RD 2023

I saw posts about the “Email Services” link a couple of hours ago, so I checked mine and it was closed; I just checked back and now it’s open. It seems to be going back and forth, so I don’t think it could be an indication of admission. Good luck to everyone!!

Email services is open for my son too but to be honest, I’m not sure he ever clicked on that link before today.

Just so I’m clear, an email will be sent by BC tomorrow night to each applicant indicating accepted, waitlisted or denied? The portal says: “Please note that Boston College does NOT post admission decisions on line.” So basically a personalized email to each person?

@“IMPATIENT MOM” I believe there will be a personalized letter attached to the email.

what time tomorrow?

@Acortez122 The email I received just says in “the evening” tomorrow.

also, what is the time gap between portal update and email?
Last time for EA it was like maybe 10 minutes

@plzacceptme77 what is the reference to instate public schools? I do agree it’s frustrating to hear people say they’ve applied to but have no interest in attending a school you really hope to attend. Good luck!

[{“insert”:"I was deferred EA. For early action, I got that decision email at 5:42 pm. I doubt that location is a factor (since the decision is virtual), but just in case, I live on the east coast in the midatlantic region. Best of luck to everyone!
"}]

@vpa2019 Thank you! I just meant that since I live very close to BC, there are tons of kids at my school who apply and there are already so many students from MA applying. A lot of people from my school use BC as a backup for their reaches which could hurt the chances for those of us who actually would attend.

Hey guys! Just joining this thread but college confidential in general.
I’m an international student from Italy but I’m graduating from High school this year in the US and of course applied to BC! What are my chances?

UW GPA Senior year : 95.7/100
W GPA Senior year: 98.9/100
GPA (Past 3 years in Italy): 9.6/10 (Top of the class out of 500 kids)
SAT: 1280 (The weakest part of my application and what I’m scared about :// but still enough to waive BC’s TOEFL requirement! even if I sent it anyways lol)
TOEFL: 117/120
Rank: Was top of the class for 3 years in Italy and I’m pretty sure I’m in the top 5% of my class out of 110 people here in the US
AP Classes: I took 3 APs this senior year: Calculus, Stats, and Biology; self studying for the AP Physics C Mechanics Exam

Writing is my forte so I’m pretty sure my essays are good, I put a lot of effort into them
Slightly above average recommendations I would say, not bad but not amazing
Raised Roman Catholic
Fluent in English and Italian, kind of fluent in Spanish
Not going to receive FA as it is not available to Internationals

EC’s:
Student Council Member
Varsity Math Team
XC, Winter and Spring Track here in my US High School
I did Competitive Swimming for 12 years and won two regional competitions and some minor achievements
Fencing for 2 Years with an overall good national rank (top 100 in Italy in my category out of 600 teens)
I’ve been playing the piano for 6 years now and I also have a level 2 classical pianist certification from the local conservatory in Naples (my city in Italy)
Participated in the New York National Model United Nations (NMUN)
Combined Study/Work Experience at the University of Naples
Volunteered with Save the Children and took part in a non-profit project against Discriminations (The name of the project was Underadio)
And finally, I think my most unique “EC” is that I’m taking part in the exchange year program of EF Education First! I’m currently spending my exchange year in a town near Boston, MA and I’m going to graduate this year as a senior

Kind of overwhelmed reading about all the qualified applicants that applied this year! And worried about my SAT Score because it really is my application’s weakness I guess, hoping that my TOEFL will balance it out. Just wanted to ask opinions about my chances of getting in because I really like BC and it would amazing to be admitted, good luck to everyone that applied for tomorrow!

ok im sorry but this thread is really confusing. what time exactly are the decisions coming tomorrow?

when was he rejected? acceptances for RD just came out today?

@nicole2023 people have been predicting 5:15EST

I heard that for colby, people were able to tell if they got in by trying to register for an admitted students day. Has this ever happened with Boston College before or has anyone tried it?

just tried to go to admitted students but cant find a link for it

I just registered for the admitted students eagle for a day, but it won’t let me cancel. I was able to register though

Registration for admitted students day hasn’t opened yet.

There is one on April 25th called “admitted eagle eye campus visit”

It allowed me to register as well. Curious if it’s a real hack.

It’s not real. I used random info that obviously was incorrect- still let me register.
