I have this too. BC is a BIG reach for me. I don’t what this means. Do other people have this as well?
Most changes to website and portals are never indicators. They just have IT updates and every little Change is scrutinized. But I hope I am wrong and it turns out to be an early indicator for you.
I got the email so I’ll share my stats. For my two cents though I don’t think its a bad sign if you didn’t get the email. I only received it because my financial aid application wasn’t complete - I though I submitted my CSS but I didn’t. Had I submitted it, I don’t think I would’ve received the email.
I have a 1510 SAT (750M/760EBRW) 4.0 UW GPA with 8 APs, Rank 1/500, good ECs but not a lot of leadership, Extenuating Circumstances (serious health issues this year/last year leading to a lot of absences)
it was clearly a mistake. though the clarifying email did not admit it was a mistake. Regardless happy to have the good word a month early! Stats: 4.0 UW, 34 ACT 10 APs (all 5’s so far). definitely missing FA info which is why i believe contacted at all. good luck everybody!
My son received this letter, and he was already accepted EA. Not sure what that means except that people who haven’t completed FA applications got them.
Did anyone receive this email who was not missing FA information? Did only students missing FA info get the email?
I had all of my FA forms turned in back in November and I have not recieved this email you all are talking about.
Didn’t received the email. Applied for FA. All docs submitted. 4.0/4.0, 36 ACT, 3x800 SAT2. Don’t think it means anything.

Where are you from? Do you have any extra connections to the school? Are you a legacy, first gen, pell eligible or from an underserved ethnic community ? Are you applying to MCAS Carroll Lynch or nursing ?
Are you a good enough golfer to play for BC. Walk on?
I received an email on February 5th thanking me for my “continued interest” and assuring me of their “thoughtful consideration” of my credentials, also stating that decisions will be released during the week of March 17. Did everybody receive this?
I have trouble logining in the portal
Hey guys…just a quick question: Is it too late to send a LOCI? Apparently BC does not have an admission email ( or I didn’t find it on their website.)
Better late then never
@yjliu Why would you send a letter saying you are still interested? Were you waitlisted?
If you are an RD applicant, don’t bother UNLESS your letter has something pretty new and significant to support your application. Honestly, just checking in to say you are still interested will just be annoying for them.
Adding…
If you insist on sending something to them you have to send it via regular postal service. They won’t accept docs any other way.
Don’t do it in the RD round.
@bluebayou If you applied early and were deferred definitely send it now. If you just applied RD don’t.
^^Disagree. If you applied Early and was deferred, the time to send a LOCI (really, ‘Why BC? essay’), was two months ago. Now it’s too late. Vast majority of decisions already made. Save it for any WL.
LOCI is not necessary for RD right? I haven’t heard of anyone in RD sending in a LOCI…
@wheredoiwanttogo no need for an LOCI for RD.
